I also looked at a past students example of a magazine article. It includes colour on a white background which is what i want to create for my CD cover. It looks realistic in the way it uses the fact the audience can now buy the track in HMV which is what I want to include in my advert. However applying my results of my questionnaire most people said that they bought their music from itunes therefore this is what I will promote. The title is positioned to the left of the article which also adds to realism however I think the colour could have been darker so that juxtaposes the background. The title doesn't stand out as much due to the fact it shares the same colour as its background. I have noticed that the magazine advertisement uses limited writing and have focused the audience mainly on the image which is hat i will remind myself of in the process of planning. The image is used as the background of the advertisement. This is something I won't chose to do, however I will use the same colours from my CD cover.
Looking at both examples of what I want to do for my digipack, I have come up with a list I need to think about over the next couple of days.
CD COVER
Photo shoot ideas - exact location
costumes
where I want the artist to be positioned in the frame
Where the title is going to be
Am I going to include a book with lyrics and photos?
Magazine advertisement
title of the magazine
image as a whole back ground?
what needs to be included- the writing
the colour of the background
